Choose your province

Coverage is shown on every region. Choose detailed tools, explore the Alberta pilot, or follow official resources.

02 / Before you go

A good hunt starts with good questions.

01

Choose one realistic trip

Write down the province, species, exact date, companions and a realistic travel radius. Treat a map pin as a research lead, then resolve the actual place and boundary.

02

Match the rules to your situation

Open the current provincial or territorial guide. Check the exact management unit, residency category, species and class of animal, season, equipment and licence. For migratory game birds, also open the federal regional summary.

03

Resolve access before arrival

Separate land ownership from management-unit boundaries. Find the applicable land manager or permission process, confirm the entry route and conditions, and keep a dated record. Unanswered messages are not permission.

04

Make a field plan and a fallback

Compare hourly wind, gusts, precipitation and daylight for the actual location. Save a map, record your return time and contact person, and choose a backup location that has passed the same checks. Recheck closures and weather before leaving.
